Our splicing tools provide a quick and easy method of joining component reel tapes together reducing the need for reloading. Designed to facilitate efficient and precise splicing of SMT component reels, these tools allow for uninterrupted production, reducing the need for manual handling.
The tools are suitable for both paper and plastic component tapes, the splicing tool enables component tapes to be joined quickly and securely through the use of a brass shim.
Carrier tape extenders add extra length to a part reel reducing the waste of components saving costs, materials and time. Splicing is not only for when components run out. You should consider tape splicing when you have to pull a part reel from stock, swap it across machines with different feeders, or when the tape snaps.
