Ant Group Limited, trading as Antistat and Integrity Cleanroom, is delighted to announce that it will be sponsoring local triathlete Nicki Broad in a three-year, deal starting with her competing in the Super Sprint Triathlon World Championships later this year.
A new challenge
Nicki came into Triathlon in her mid-thirties after looking for a new challenge. She quickly became passionate about the sport and entered her first triathlon in London in 2014. Learning more about the sport and discovering that she could represent her country no matter what her age gave Nicki the ability to follow a lifelong dream. After a few years of training hard Nicki attempted to qualify for the Great British Age Group Triathlon Team and was successful in being selected for the European Sprint Triathlon Championships, held in Kazan Russia, in 2019.
During 2019, whilst setting up her Personal Training Business with her husband, Matt, Nicki qualified to compete in both the European Middle Distance Aquabike championships for 2020 and the World Championships in Long Distance Aquabike. Due to Covid-19 these competitions were postponed and the races will now take place in 2021. Nicki has also qualified for the World Championships in Super Sprint Triathlon and Standard Distance Aquabike due to take place in 2021 in Edmonton.
A great partnership
“I am really pleased to have the support of the Ant Group for the next 3 years – a company that is innovative and has a great ethos. Their sponsorship will allow me to progress further within the sport. We hope that this will form a great partnership between my company and the Ant Group.” commented Nicki.
Her husband Matt added: “Securing the sponsorship support of Ant Group is an amazing opportunity for Nicki to be able to dedicate more to her sport and represent Great Britain. In addition, we look forward to working with the Ant Group and supporting their staff with health and wellbeing projects we have lined up”.
Supporting Health and Wellbeing
As part of the sponsorship deal, Nicki and Matt will also be helping to support the health and wellbeing of the employees at Ant Group with workshops and articles covering the benefits of exercise, fitness and nutrition advice.
CEO of Ant Group John Hensley said “We are immensely proud to be supporting Nicki at this stage of her sporting career. She is a truly inspirational figure competing at the highest national and international level. As a business we are committed to developing local talent, be that our own employees or within the wider community. This deal not only supports Nicki but also gives us a chance to invest in the health and wellbeing of our own employees, a key focus as we come out of the pandemic.”
