Antistat & Onward Enterprises – working together to deliver supported working

Onward Enterprises Thetford Celebrations

Although we operate globally, providing production consumables and supply chain solutions wherever our customers are in the world, one of the local stories we’re extremely proud of at Antistat is our long-standing, ongoing collaboration with a hidden gem – Onward Enterprises – who we have been working with to deliver bespoke packaging projects for over 11 years.

Onward Enterprises is a social enterprise, which enables adults with learning difficulties or mental health problems to work as part of an integrated workforce delivering contract packaging and fulfilment services. The founding ethos of the organisation is to give people the opportunity to experience a real-life working environment.

Onward Enterprises was one of the first providers to offer this type of service and provide a stepping stone to employment. Families of people who are in the Onward team explain that the environment of supported working allows people to realise their potential, have a purpose, express themselves and live their lives.

Antistat has worked with Onward on a variety of projects over the years, and so we were delighted to join them recently at their 25th-anniversary celebrations. Although the organisation has been operational in Harleston (Norfolk) for longer, the Thetford branch, run by the founder’s daughter Rachel Allum-Sindall, is now in its 25th year in the town, catering for people from Thetford, Watton, Attleborough, Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area.

The Onward motto is “valuing people, valuing industry, valuing communities” and this is something which we at Antistat wholeheartedly support, are proud to be associated with, and which echoes our own company ethos. With 11 years of collaboration behind us, we are looking forward to being part of the Onward story for many more years to come.
